WW1 MONS STAR TRIO KIA ON HMS FORMIDABLE ABLE SEAMAN WILLIAM A KNOWLES ROYAL NAVY & LETTER
This trio was sent post to the family of William Andrew Knowles on the 26th June 1923 as dated on the letter that accompanied the medals. Able Seaman William Andrew Knowles was killed in action on when the HMS Formidable was sunk by a German U Boat U-24 on the 1st of January 1915 which is when he lost his life.
The medals all etched 232351 W.A.KNOWLES.A.B.R.N.
I will also be listing a WW1 pair given to another knowles beloved to be a family member and a WW2 Group given to his Cousin who was also Killed in action.
