Antique 18th Century Oil On Canvas Portrait Lady Purportedly Mlle De Vaudeville?

Frame measures approximately 91cm high x 75cm wide.

Painting measures approximately 80cm high x 63cm wide.

Condition: Please view photos carefully for condition. Heavy wear throughout. Is unlined and attached to a modern strainer. The canvas tension is slack and there are minor undulations across the surface. The paint layer has suffered from flaking and loss which is evident in the surface texture, mainly located in the lower half. Many of the losses have been overpainted without filling the lacunae. There are some areas of slightly raised paint. At the lower left corner is an area of raised cracking which is likely to be fill rather than original paint. There is abrasion to the surface in the background. The varnish is clear and semi-matte with a layer of dust across the surface. There is a large piece of the frame missing to the lower right. (lost after the first photo).
