The base has a different maker to the dog but same date letter so I assume they were made to go together.
The dog originally had a second attachment to the base and now turns leaving a hole as photo. The base is weighted with a brass sheet. The dog may have originally had glass eyes. Hallmark to base heavily rubbed so base maker is ineligible.
